Regarding Trump’s and Vance’s embarrassing and failed bullying of Zelensky:
It is apparent that in Trump’s unannounced phone calls with Putin leading up to the meeting with Zelensky, the Russian dictator and the American tyrant planned the ambush on Zelensky. The plan was to humiliate the Ukrainian hero, to force him to admit Ukraine has “no cards,” to secure Ukrainian minerals for corporate America, and ultimately to make Ukraine’s surrender inevitable. Trump displayed his deep identification with Putin in his untethered rambling on the “Russian investigation,” Trump describing Putin as his fellow victim of unjust persecution. Vance executed his part of the act by insulting Zelensky and derailing any possibility of successful diplomacy. None of this was surprising to Putin as he orchestrated the attack on Zelensky. The only thing the three bullies didn’t plan on was that Zelensky would push back, that he would defend Ukrainian independence, that he would correct the lies. Zelensky wisely insisted on some guarantees from Trump because Putin’s word means nothing – Putin is a liar who has repeatedly violated agreements. Trump is so used to obsequious Republican boot lickers, he became unglued, shouting like the toddler he really is. The crass cruelty Trump and Vance exhibited in their reality show meeting with Zelensky is the same mocking cruelty they, along with Musk, are inflicting on thousands of federal workers. This is fascism folks.
